General Description
Birdsong Cottage B&B was built in 1955 and in recent years has been extended and fully renovated. Enjoy a relaxed and fulfilling holiday at our charming bed and breakfast, where hardwood floors and antiques flow throughout.
Birdsong Cottage is surrounded by mature trees and is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood, a short walk from the theatres, shops, the oldest golf course in North America, the lake and restaurants in the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Warm hospitality abounds at this cosy ’Old Town’ cottage. Guest entrance. Guest lounge with fireplace and TV. Guest front porch with 'fridge. Central air conditioning and smoke free, environment is enjoyed by our guests.
Generous full breakfast. Enjoy coffee tea or juice on the front porch or in the lounge before breakfast. Relax and get to know your fellow guests.
Stay at Birdsong and visit the theatres, vineyards, golf courses, Niagara Falls, the Whirlpool, the Butterfly Conservatory, Brock Monument, the Casino, wonderful restuarants and much more. Leave your car at the cottage and walk to the local places of interest
Pets are not allowed, but nearby kennels are available, with prior notice.
We feature the Pine Grosbeak Room (queen bed) with private bathroom, Goldfinch Room (extra long twin beds, which may be converted to a king bed, for more than one night), with ensuite bathroom. Each of these rooms is located on the ground floor.
Whilst the cottage is not baby proofed, it is suitable for children five years of age and over.
We do defer to a two night booking on weekends June - September and on holiday weekends throughout the year.

Breakfast
Full breakfast is served and enjoyed by our guests. Example:-
Coffee or tea, regular or decaff:
Orange juice. Fruit course. Cooked course e.g. eggs benedict, quiche, eggs in a nest etc.. Muffins and croissant, make up the usual breakfasts we serve. Guests write: .. enjoyed your wonderful breakfasts... .. your cottage and the breakfasts were the highlight of our holiday this year. ..magnificant breakfasts ..the breakfasts were fabulous....

Local Attractions
Shaw Festival - wonderful productions of many plays of Bernard Shaw and his contempories. Golf at the oldest golf course in North America and many other golf courses.
Many wonderful wineries.
Shopping at many interesting stores and boutiques.
Fine restaurants.
Niagara Falls. Whirlpool with Spanish Cable Car. Butterfly Conservatory. Imax theatre. Botanical Gardens. Greenhouses and Aviary, both with exotic birds.

Directions
From Toronto: QEW to exit 38B just past St. Catharines. Follow signs to Hiqhway 55 and Niagara on the Lake (NOTL) - about 15 Km. Turn left at Johnson Street. Pass Butler and Dorchester Streets - the yellow cottage on your left after Dorchester is Birdsong Cottage.
From USA: Cross at the Lewiston / Queenston Bridge. Move immediately to the right lane and take exit to Niagara on the lake. Follow the Parkway past all the sightseeing spots and go through the high street of NOTL. Pass sign to Highway 55 (Missisauga Street), pass Butler, turn left on Dorchester and right on Johnson Street - the yellow cottage on your left.
